But sometimes it can be happened that you have forget your own BIOS password or someone changes your system BIOS password intentionally, you can not log into the computer. In the case of such problems, you will need to reset the BIOS password.

I will explain to you how to clear/reset the BIOS/CMOS password.

Do the following steps :

1. Power off the computer and make sure that it is unplugged.

2. Open the Computer Case

3. Now, observe the motherboard.
4. Locate the flat, circular and Silver Metallic CMOS battery (3v). Make sure to power-off the computer, unplug the all power cables and unplug any devices if they are powered.

CMOS Battery:
This battery is 24 x 7 power supply for the BIOS, which is used to run the system clock will the main power is off. It also initiates the booting process when power is switched on.

5. Carefully remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard.

6. Here wait for 120 seconds. This will flush the CMOS memory which stores the BIOS password and all other configuration and
then replace it back to it's original position.

7. Now, when you start your system they should warn you that the CMOS configuration could not be found. You can either reconfigure it yourself or restore it defaults.

Note:
