“Beauty and the Geek” Keyboard pants with Bluetooth keyboard

Erik de Nijs and Tim Smit from Netherlands is a designer that wanted to create a new practical concept combining two everyday products. He called it the "Beauty and the Geek" pants even come with built in speakers, wireless computer mouse, and full-sized Bluetooth keyboard. Typing on a full sized keyboard on the go just got easier with these strange keyboard pants. The keyboard is embedded into the jeans material and places handy so you can type easily while staying comfortable on a chair or on a sofa. Plus, there's "even a joystick controller located just behind the front zipper.




The jeans don't just allow you to lounge while you type. They also come with a wireless mouse that's cleverly attached to a specially designed pocket. There are even a set of speakers at the sides so that your music can follow you wherever you sit. 


The good news about the keyboard, however, is that it's not as heavy and unwieldy as it may look. Those of you who like to bust a few moves while jamming to iTunes should have plenty of flexibility to do so.

 Microsoft Buys Skype in $8.5 Billion Deal

Microsoft Acquire Skype for $8.5 Billion:


Microsoft has bought Skype for $8.5 billion, in an all-cash deal. The deal is Microsoft's largest cash purchase in its 36-year long history. Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, is said to be a big champion of the deal, the largest in the history of the company. Microsoft Corporation agreed to acquire Skype Communications, US $8.5 billion. The company is to be incorporated as a division of Microsoft, and Microsoft will acquire all of the company’s technologies, including Skype, with the purchase.

It won’t surprise if Microsoft comes in for major heat on this decision to buy Skype  and the software company could always botch this purchase, as it often does when it buys a company. The Skype team is also full of hired guns who are likely to move on to the next opportunity rather than dealing with the famed Microsoft bureaucracy.

What is Skype?


Skype is a software application that allows users to make voice and video calls and chats over the Internet. Calls to other users within the Skype service are free, while calls to both traditional landline telephones and mobile phones can be made for a fee using a debit-based user account system. Skype was founded by Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis who were also the founders of the file sharing application Kazaa.

The combination will extend Skype's world-class brand and the reach of its networked platform, while enhancing Microsoft's existing portfolio of real-time communications products and services," according to Microsoft's press release on the deal. "With 170 million connected users and over 207 billion minutes of voice and video conversations in 2010, Skype has been a pioneer in creating rich, meaningful connections among friends, families and business colleagues globally.

Microsoft may also hope the deal will increase its competitiveness against both Apple and Google in the mobile platform arena by allowing it to upgrade its suite of products.

55-inch Super OLED TV wow CES attendees with astonishing image quality, incredible design and sophisticated features.

Samsung has launched what it calls the worlds largest commercialized OLED TV at this years CES, and it features a 55 inch Super OLED display, and offer support for both 2D and 3D content and also comes with a built in camera, plus it features Samsung’s Smart Hub built in, which includes a range of apps through Samsung’s TV app store and a web browser.

The TV also features the company's new Smart Interaction; a voice and gesture control, and face recognition system that is a standout addition to Samsung's 2012 TV range. Plus, it will sport a cleaner, jazzed up Smart Hub, a dual core processor for multitasking and is 3D ready.
